Pay your Essex taxes online or by mail.
You can pay taxes online for a fee. You can also send in a check by US mail or bring a check/cash to the office. If you are registering a vehicle and need a DMV Release because of delinquent Motor Vehicle taxes, it is cash only and will take 24 hours to process.
You can now pay taxes online! No more waiting in long lines or having to wait for office hours.
- To pay a bill, search by list or bill number. Each bill needs its own list or bill number entered.
- Mark the option of All, Due Now, or Balance Due.
If you wish to add more bills, follow the same procedure.
Accepted Forms of Payment (online only)
- Credit/Debit cards - 2.5% fee
- Visa Tax for Debit - $3.95 flat fee
- Electronic Checks (e-checks) - $2.00 flat fee (E-checks cannot be used for immediate DMV release)
