Calling all Volunteers for 2023 Household Hazardous Waste & Paper Shredding Events!

River Cog needs 3 volunteers at each Household Hazardous Waste event and 2 volunteers at the paper shredding events. There are 7 HHW events and 4 paper shredding events scheduled for 2023.

For the HHW events the volunteers will be registering the participants as they come to the collections and/or helping with household counts. They volunteer will be asking the participants to stay in their car and notify vendors if they want any containers returned.  The collections runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and the volunteers are asked to be on site at 8:30 am. The collections are rain or shine and volunteers must be prepared for inclement weather.

The paper shredding events need volunteers to find out and record what town in our region the resident is from and/or helping to unload the vehicle of paper to be shredded. These collections run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and volunteers are asked to be on site at 8:30 am. The paper shredding events are rain or shine.
