The Essex
Park and Recreation Department is hiring Junior Summer Camp Counselors
to conduct activities for campers ages 6-12 at Essex Elementary
School. Counselors will work Monday through Friday, approx. 8:30
am - 3:15 pm, during the summer months, beginning June 23rd and
continuing through August 14th. Counselors will be responsible
for supervising children in a camp setting, as well as assiting
with the planning and implementation of safe, fun, and age appropriate
activities.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age, or older. Experience working
with children leading games, sports or arts and crafts. Must be
able to attend a first aid training course. (Time and date to
be determined). Administer first aid when necessary. Must be able
to communicate effectively and be responsible for proper care
of facility and equipment.
Salary:
$8.00 per hour This is a part-time position, with no benefits.
