Wells and Water Quality

The Essex Health Department issues permits for the construction of single family wells. The State of CT Public Health Code Sections 19-13-B51a to 19-13-B51m includes those provisions governing the construction, testing and disinfecting of wells. Environmental Health Inspectors in reviewing the well permit application and water testing results verify compliance with the State Public Health Code.
